Our History
Ruach International Christian School was established in February 2006 by a team of
International Christian workers from The United States, Great Britain, and Honduras.
In 2002 by a vote of the leadership team Annette Turner (then Annette Ham) was selected
as the school's headmaster and entered a year of intense spiritual warfare.
Were it not for the grace and protection given by the Holy Spirit, Ruach would not have
survived these initial years. Robbery, problems with accreditation and financial struggles
threatened to sink the emerging school, but through faith, teamwork, and dedication the Ruach
family emerged victorious and has been producing leaders ever since.
In 2005 Ruach was also called one of the top 25 schools in Honduras by a member of
the local ministry of education. In 2006 RICA students' average score on Honduras' standardized
college entrance exam earned the school national attention as the 3rd ranked school in the
nation. Momentum built and students have continued to have great success.
In the midst of those academic successes, the Ruach family was growing and changing.
In 2005, the diversifying ministry identified the need to establish a separate organization
to conduct the missions and training ministries. Ruach Ministries was established to fill
these roles and govern their integration with the school.
