RICA is a bilingual school in Comayagua, Honduras that ministers to young people through high-quality Christian education and discipleship for elementary, junior high and high school students. Academic excellence and spiritual strength are consistent focuses. In 2006, RICA students' average score on Honduras' standardized college entrance exam earned the 3rd ranked position nationally. Our CurriculumRICA's curriculum is the same as that used by many schools and homeschool families in the US. Accelerated Christian Education (aka The School of Tomorrow) provides the backbone of RICA's curriculum. Their self-paced curriculum allows accelerated learning for advanced students and focused help for slower learners. This curriculum is augmented with Saxon Mathematics for highly advanced math students and several Honduras-specific materials that ensure students meet local requirements for graduation. Upon completion of the curriculum, students receive a Honduran diploma and a US diploma (as a homeschool entity).  |
